It takes drive
and determination to get a new business off the ground, and being
able to take rejection comes with the territory. However, when
it comes to sisters doing it for themselves, Irene Craig and
Isobel Dempster have managed to get their new business underway,
with no support from anyone, except each other.
Irene and Isobel recently started up their own fresh flower preservation
business. Irene, a former model and now an arable farmer’s
wife, and Isobel, from Kilbarchan, a former operations manager with
a freight forwarding business, took the initiative after Isobel was
made redundant. Irene was so disappointed with a preserved bouquet
she had ordered after her daughter’s wedding, that she decided
that she could do a better job herself, having always had a talent
for flower arranging. So, with a little prompting from her sister,
they decided to set up Always Blooms, a fresh flower preservation
service, which presents your flowers beautifully mounted in a handmade
frame.
It’s not just flowers that they present, you can incorporate
almost anything you wish into the arrangement.
